Impressions of the my second day in Hopenhagen (11th of december):
Millions of busy business people, billions of laptops, NGO-representatives which don´t have a clue about their statement to REDD and always have to call for somebody, 4 USB-Sticks and Global Forest Cover Loss Poster. Some of the people behind the stand even had more fun with selling necklets than giving an opinion about REDD.
To be honest – I feel a bit confused about what I saw today. You really can feel the huge difference seperating the Bella Center from the Klimaforum, seperating the economics from the environmentalists, seperating decision-making governmental representatives from decision-carrying non-governmental representatives.
What shall I think? Aren´t we one world – don´t we have one world „to save“?
I wish the flood action tomorrow will succeed.
